Conferring in Pairs Matches | 30th January 2016 |
We have been asked to clarify the rules on conferring in pairs matches. The WPBSA rules already cover this area of the game in the sub-section on four-handed matches:
17 (e). Partners may confer during a frame but not whilst one is the striker and has approached the table until the break has ended with a non-scoring stroke or foul .
So any conferring must take place before a player takes his first shot of a visit to the table. After that, they are on their own for the remainder of that visit.
(there is no need to change our own rules because the situation is already covered by the official rules of the game).
Barratts Badgers No Longer Competing | 24th January 2016 |
Due to a lack of players, Barratts Badgers have made the decision to drop out of the league. Ryan Roberts will now play for Barratts Hot Shots.
To make it fair to the remaining teams in Division 1 (and Group C of the Team Championship), the results from any fixtures the Badgers have played this year have been removed, which affects team points as well as individual player stats.
The online fixture lists have been updated, but if you are working from printed fixture lists, please do not turn up for any games against the Badgers.
