For the fourth year running, Coopers X have “done the double”, winning 4-1 against Barratts Stones B in the final of the Team Championship 2016. The match started off evenly matched, with Callum Singleton and David Brown winning one frame each. A hard-fought couple of frames between Stacey Vine and Kev Portley saw Coopers X take a 3-1 lead, and the victory was secured by Neil Martin taking the one frame needed off Micky McMahon. Well done, Coopers X!

Congratulations to Coopers X who, for the seventh year running (they were previously known as Kingsley A), have won the Premier Division of the Northampton Town League. Can they also make it four years in a row as victors of the Team Championship? We will find out tomorrow night at Cheyne Walk (Tuesday 17th May – 7:30 start).

Meanwhile, congratulations also go to Coopers A (Premier Division runners-up), Coopers E (Division 1 winners), Barratts Reds (Division 1 runners-up), Barratts Crusaders (Division 2 winners) and Coopers No-Hopers (Division 2 runners-up). Well done to each of you.

Stacey Vine became Town Cup champion for 2015, beating Ronnie Kralj 4-3 in the final at Cheyne Walk club. Vine came back from 3-2 down with solid matchplay snooker after Kralj had taken the lead, aided by a break of 57.

Coopers X beat Barratts Stones A 4-2 in the final of the Team Championship, played at Cheyne Walk. The victory follows their win of the Premier Division, making it 3 years in a row where they have won both titles (remember this team used to be called Kingsley A). Well done to (pictured l-r) Stacey Vine, Alan Baker, Callum Singleton and Neil Martin.

Andy and Adam Goff secured a 2-1 victory against Micky McMahon and David Brown in the final of the W M Blind Pairs Cup played at Far Cotton last night. Well done to the father and son team!
